Main research directions
Development of novel methods of functionalization of nitronic acids ethers (nitronates) and their application in total synthesis
New approaches to the functionalization of α- and β-position in nitronates using electrophilic activation of C=NO2 fragment and [3+3]-cycloannelation with 1,3-dipoles were proposed. It was shown that the developed methods can be effectively used in total synthesis.

Development of approaches to generation of fluorinated nitro-derivatives and their use in the synthesis of fluorine-containing heterocycles
The method of synthesis of α-fluoronitroalkenes was proposed. Based on it, methods for the synthesis of various fluorine-containing heterocyclic compounds were developed.

Synthesis of novel heterocage compounds
The approach to the construction of new heteroadamantanes on the basis of oxime cyclotrimerization reaction was proposed. Structural isomer of urotropin was obtained for the first time.
